Ballet Folklorico Mexicano (Mon/LuN 6:30-8:30 pm)

La maestra Jenny Robles enseñará una clase de ballet folklórico para principiantes, seguida de una clase para alumnos intermedios.

Oaxacan-native maestra Jenny Robles teaches 3 sections of ballet folklórico mexicano focusing on traditional dances from five regions of México (beginner, intermediate and adults)

Jenny Robles, Maestra/Coordinator, Ballet Folklórico Mexicano 

Jenny Robles was born and raised in Oaxaca, Mexico. Her love for the performing arts started at an early age. Ms. Robles has 18 years of dance experience and specializes in teaching Folklorico Dances from the state of Oaxaca to children and adults for the past 11 years.  

Maestra Jenny Robles is also part of the non-profit, Organization Senderos, formerly known as Vive Oaxaca. She is one of the founding members and Artistic Director of Centeotl Danza y Baile in Santa Cruz, California.  

In 2007, Ms. Robles was elected by the Oaxacan community of California to be Diosa Centeotl USA (Corn Goddess) in Los Angeles, traveling to Oaxaca to study and learn firsthand dances from the "Pueblos" or specific towns. She is currently completing her MA in Danza Folklórica from Universidad de Oaxaca.
